Pip Colourwork comes in 25g size balls and knits to a standard 4 ply weight, it's a robust yarn with a soft handle that includes the sticky qualities to make it ideal for Fair Isle or stranded knitting. The name Pip comes from the traditional Swaledale ‘Yan Tan Thethera’ method of sheep counting: Yan (one), Tan (Two), Tether (Three), Mether (Four) and Pip- the Fifth baa ram ewe yarn!
Very sadly, Baa Ram Ewe went into liquidation - so this is now a discontinued yarn.
